In 1954 S L Koontz began a commitment to taking the best horses and striving to make them better. His love for the Quarter Horse has been instilled in me. Being his only child I had the priviledge of showing horses at an early age and learning from him all that I could. I share the love of the Quarter Horse with my father and I am dedicated to keeping his commitment.
I run a very small facility that produces a few quality foals each year. I take my horses as seriously as if I owned hundreds of acres and a modern multi-building facility. I own ten horses including my broodmares and each of them is a champion to me. I have horses ready for the Jr. Western Pleasure, Sr. Western Pleasure, Trail, Halter and Longe Line. I am always looking and always learning. I feel that I have made improvements each year since I have been running Koontz Quarter Horses. The 2007-08 show season looks very promising.
